If we ever want to get things done and EmmaLee is being fussy we just put her in front of the mirror. She always gets SOO excited! Well, the other day we caught her giving giving herself kisses. I don't think she relizes that it is her in the mirror because the other day Jeremy stood behind her while she was looking in the mirror and she reached out her arms to the mirror for him to pick her up. Silly baby but at least she has someone to play with!

Snapshots from the past
I'm becoming addicted. Addicted to taking pictures, addicted to editing pictures and addicted to blogging. I think I'll make a blog just for photography so I'm not overwhelming any of you with all my pictures. Here is when I started thinking that I might take up photography. When I went to China in 2005 my roommate and a couple others would comment on my snapshots. I didn't think they were too bad myself and I I really loved snapping LOTS of pictures. I would love to travel the world someday just to take pictures. In Junior High I wanted to be a photographer for National Geographic but decided it wouldn't work with wanting to be a mommy more. I still have that goal. One day I'll have a picture in that magazine! Probably wont be soon but someday. I had way too much fun photoshoping these pictures. Enjoy. (Jana these are done with some of the presets I found on that sight. They are a little extreme but hey they are fun. I like that they look a little more like paintings.)

#4 Little Sisters
Ever since I can remember I have been asking for a little sister. Now that I'm married to Jeremy I have two! (Mikel and I too close in age for me to consider her a "little" sister.) Although I am so grateful for her as well. I grew up as the youngest and I'm so thankful that I now get to experience having younger siblings. It is such a blast. Dani and Kristi were nice enough to let me take pictures of them yesterday. They even changed back into their Easter dresses. We had a blast laughing at the some of the silly pictures we got. I'm so thankful for these two adorable fun girls. I love them more than they know!

#3 ICE CREAM
I was craving ice cream all day yesterday and told myself that if I could get my house cleaned I would treat myself to some. I did get my house cleaned by 10pm and to my surprise there was no ice cream in the freezer! Jeremy had just gotten home from school so I threw a little tantrum about having no ice cream after working so hard all day. He said, "It's Monday night, EmmaLee won't go to sleep so lets go to Sonic for FHE." That ice cream was the highlight of my day. EmmaLee even got to lick a little off the straw!

Studio
MOMMY and baby
Sometimes it's hard always being the one behind the camera. I was looking through a bunch of my pictures the other day and was really sad when I realized that I don't have very many pictures of just EmmaLee and I.... and none that I myself had taken. I can take a little credit for this one but only because I set the camera on a tripod and had someone else push the button. This was the best I found and I had to crop Jeremy out. Thanks to the studio though I can start using the self timer to get some shots of EmmaLee and I.

Last one for the night
Photoshop Projects...
This semester I'm taking a photoshop class which I absolutely love. My wonderful mother-in-law has been watching Tiny twice a week for me. I've been learning so much and although some of it goes right over my head I do have a lot of fun.
Today we did retouching and recoloring. My teacher showed us how to add jewelry even. My last project was a book cover. I didn't have much time to come up with something great so this was a last min. idea.
This last photo I changed to black and white and then recolored it.

What are you thankful for?
I'm really bad when it comes to updating my blog so I figure I better set a goal. My goal is to blog at least once a week and to blog about something I am thankful for. After having a baby it is very easy to get stressed and feeling down and to be honest I have had a couple (ok maybe a few...) days of feeling pretty blue. When I was little I remember my mom keeping a gratitude journal to help her be more positive so I think I'll follow her example. It's not something I could do everyday but I figure once a week will keep me blogging and looking to the good in life. My mom asked the question, "what are you thankful for?" last November and here is my answer:
Here is my #1 : I am thankful for my husband
I can't think of anyone I love more than my wonderful husband. I owe so much to him. He is truly everything I need and then some. He has made so many sacrifices for me, for our marriage, and for our family. I love him more and more each day and every day gets better and better. I make mistakes and he forgives. He builds me up when I'm down, holds me when I cry and always lets me know I'm loved. Sure there are hard times but we always pull through and always come out on top. I am so thankful for him and for all he does.
